Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy

PAN activity significantly depends on humans whether they work directly for PAN or for any of the project-related stakeholder entities.
Commitment to create an atmosphere that protects people, prevents harm to them, and protects the surrounding environment is one of PAN Management’s critical objectives.

PAN Management believes work-related accidents, incidents, injuries, and illnesses are preventable or their impact reducible to a minimum if proper work procedures, HSE rules, and aggressive supervision are in place.
PAN’s safety culture empowers employees at all levels to accept ownership for safety and take whatever actions are necessary to eliminate incidents.

PAN is also committed to the prevention of environmental pollution or degradation and to world-class performance in environment protection.

PAN Management, Project Managers, Supervisors, and employees plan safety into each work task in order to prevent occupational injuries and illnesses.
The ultimate success of PAN’s safety program depends on the full cooperation and participation of all employees and related project stakeholders.

The following objectives shall be set for PAN’s internal works and, whenever possible, set as targets for any participating project stakeholder (Consultant, Contractor, or Subcontractor):

  • Development of clear HSE Plans, detailed HSE & Work Procedures, and deployment of competent HSE Personnel shall be imposed as a contractual requirement as necessary and applicable.

  • All human resources to be aware of and well trained on HSE requirements and plan their tasks accordingly.

  • Adopting a “Zero” target for all critical HSE indicators (Lost Time Injuries – LTI, Fatality, Acute Illness, Environmental Damage, etc.)

  • Setting of performance measures and reporting requirements to control the above objectives.

It remains the responsibility of PAN Management to ensure this HSE Policy is cascaded to all departments and that all PAN staff and partners are well aware of their responsibilities towards HSE.
